The food (buffet) was better than expected and plentiful. The ship was quite good and elaborately decorated into a "pirate vessel". The talent (pirate actors/servers) did a great job and really worked hard.
This attraction actually turned out better than we were expecting. I think there are more girl pirates on Captain Jack, if that makes a difference.
If you want to go on Captain Jack (Sparrow), hang back in the line. I'm not a drinker, and my single beer was flat, but stuff happens. It's a little crowded, mosts seating is on stools. They did everything in English, with some Spanish, so no issues there. No overcharge, no pressures, no rudeness. We had none of the issues raised by one star reviewers. Two caveats: 1: I think the volume is too loud for little kids' ears take plugs or those headphone things folks take to baseball games 2: there are interludes of flashing lights to mimic slow-motion and some bouncing around red and green lights if you're epileptic take caution. I'm wondering if they should up their income by running an afternoon cruise, more family friendly.įood was very good people were all very nice, and good at being pirates. Something tells me the other boat also won. "We won! We won!" (after the ship battle). The 4 year old loved it as in really loved it, all of it. My family, age 1 to 75, enjoyed the whole thing very much (the one year old, well past nap time, never got cranky).
